Cloud Data Architect

Broadview Technical Solutions is placing a Data Architect to design and deliver enterprise on-premises and cloud data platforms. This is a deeply technical, hands-on role responsible for complex data warehouse models and ETL development supporting Cognos TM1, Cognos BI, and Power BI reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop database and data warehouse systems on-premises and in Azure, following industry best practices.
• Maintain complex data warehouse models to ensure data integrity; develop and administer ETL functions using SSIS in support of Cognos TM1 and BI frameworks.
• Lead data governance, data modeling, cleansing, migration, integration, and mapping efforts.
• Write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views; redesign databases and data warehouses using SQL Server technologies.
• Guide and mentor junior database engineers while remaining hands-on with the latest data platform capabilities.
• Coordinate system testing, deployment, and disaster recovery processes.
• Produce technical documentation and deliver training on system changes and new functionality.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience architecting and developing databases and data warehouse systems on-premises and in the cloud.
• Strong experience with SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS for ETL, analysis, and report generation.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and Azure Pipelines.
• Proficient in complex T-SQL; able to both code independently and guide other engineers.
• Experience across data governance, data management, modeling, cleansing, migration, integration, and mapping.
• Working knowledge of Cognos BI, Power BI, or Tableau preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; able to work independently and resolve issues without escalation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications preferred.

Compensation: $80 - $90/hr
