Business Intelligence Developer

Broadview Technical Solutions is placing a BI Developer to build and support Power BI reporting within an enterprise Cognos and Power Platform environment. You will work directly with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into accurate, actionable reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards from requirements through production deployment.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting.
• Apply data visualization best practices to produce audience-appropriate, insight-driven outputs.
• Maintain platform stability by resolving data issues and user tickets in a timely manner; provide on-call availability for off-hours issues.
• Support Cognos environment maintenance, including patching, upgrades, user accounts, and security profiles.
• Ensure data security and compliance with established governance standards.
• Produce technical documentation and deliver end-user training on new functionality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in BI architecture, data warehousing, ETL design, development, and implementation.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including report and dashboard creation.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and visualization concepts; working knowledge of DAX.
• Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications preferred.

Compensation: $62 - $70/hr
